Hi Friends! My name is Melody and I'm a 500hr RYT and CRYT who is also certified in Barre and Sculpt. I was first introduced to yoga through my dance studio in high-school and then again through my BFA program in College, since then there's never been a great distance between my mat and I. I've always loved the mind/ body/ soul connection yoga has to offer and meditation and body work has been a huge healing tool of mine. Because I know the beauty of a deeply integrated practice, I try to create a class atmosphere that allows everyone to leave feeling better than when they arrived.

What is your favorite yoga pose?

My favorite yoga pose changes daily but I ALWAYS LOVE a supine twist! They do wonders for my low back and I can really feel myself loosening and lengthening with every round of breath.

What are your favorite yoga related books, podcasts, social media pages or YouTube pages that you follow?

Some of my favorite yoga books are Awakening Shakti and The Yogi's Roadmap. I currently run a virtual book club called A Well Read Yogi where we meet online monthly to practice and discuss our book of the month! It is such a beautiful community and my favorite way to practice Svadhyaya!

Do you own any pets?

I've got a lovely old lady cat named Dakota and a 3 year old little boy who loves to pretend he is a puppy (and sometimes a dinosaur).

What is your favorite meal or type of food?

As a native Texan my favorite type of food is Tex Mex (queso and margs all day!) but having spent many years living in Kansas City, BBQ is pretty high on the list as well!
