LANEY
Laney is a new Houston resident, moving all the way from the great state of Ohio. Laney took her first hot power yoga class in 2012 and was instantly hooked. Her passion for movement continued to grow, inspiring her to pursue teaching with a primary focus on Baptiste Power Yoga in 2018. Now, after six years of teaching, she expanded her knowledge into Pilates, deepening her understanding of anatomy and mindful movement. Today, she guides diverse students through both practices, grateful for the profound impact yoga and Pilates have had on her life. In her class, students can expect to find a fun and supportive space to move, grow and challenge themselves while feeling strong and confident.
Favorite thing to do outside of the studio? I love to travel and explore new places! When I’m not finding a new place to visit, you can find me spending time with my family and friends in Ohio & Kentucky.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? The best advice I have ever received was from my secretary at my first corporate job. I always had my head and eyes down coming into the office because I was shy and she said “Keep your head and eyes up, there’s nothing down there for you”
What’s your favorite yoga pose? My favorite yoga pose is half moon. There is something so powerful, opening and playful with it.
